From May 2 to 3, 2026, the LaserBlood team took part in this year’s Pancreas Club Annual Meeting, an important international gathering dedicated to pancreatic cancer research and care.
This year’s participation was particularly meaningful: the team – Prof. Damiano Caputo, Dr. Vincenzo La Vaccara, and Dr Roberto Cammarata – had the honor of receiving the Best Paper Award.
The award recognized the presentation of preliminary results from an ongoing study investigating the potential of a new test to improve the clinical management of pancreatic cysts, particularly intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms, and pancreatic cancer. The research aims to support increasingly early and accurate diagnosis, contributing to better patient care and more effective clinical decision-making.
The team’s participation in the meeting, together with the award received, represents an important recognition from the international scientific community. “It is a prestigious milestone and a strong encouragement to continue advancing research with the ultimate goal of serving patients,” said the team.
