The Italian Society of Liquid Biopsy (SIBIL) is Born

We are pleased to announce the official launch of the Italian Society of Liquid Biopsy (SIBIL ETS).

SIBIL brings together a national network of experts committed to advancing research and clinical practice in the field of liquid biopsy — an innovative, minimally invasive technique that analyzes biological material from a simple blood sample. It offers great potential for early diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment decision-making, particularly in cancer.

The Society’s mission is to promote and support scientific and technological research in liquid biopsy, as well as to represent this field within national and international institutions, research groups, and patient organizations.

The founding members include leading researchers from universities, hospitals, and biotech companies across Italy, coordinated by a board chaired by Prof. Gennaro Ciliberto. Among its activities, SIBIL will foster collaboration, scientific dissemination, and training initiatives, while also working to ensure the integration of liquid biopsy into clinical practice.

The official website www.sibil.it is live with a landing page — a full version is coming in September. For more information or to join the Society, please contact info@sibil.it or segreteria@sibil.it.
